Dr. Polishchuk is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction as well as orthopedic trauma. His focus is on minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery as well as revision hip and knee replacement surgery.

Dr. Dan Polishchuk did his advanced orthopedic training at Columbia University Medical Center (New York, NY), where he trained with world renowned orthopedic surgeons in partial, full, and revision hip and knee replacement surgery, including computer navigation and robotic-assisted
hip and knee replacements (MAKOplasty robotic surgery).

Dr. Polishchuk’s training included multiple approaches to the hip, including the popular anterior approach to the hip as well as hip resurfacing surgery (Birmingham). He uses the latest minimally invasive techniques in both hip and knee replacement as well as latest pain control methods to make post-operative recovery faster. This allows his patients to safely tailor their hospital stay to be as short as 1 day up to the standard 3-day stay. Most of his patients are able to go home after surgery with home visiting nurses and physical therapists.

Dr. Polishchuk has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at national orthopaedic meetings. Dr. Polishchuk has a particular interest in treatment of osteoarthritis, post-traumatic and rheumatoid arthritis as well as Avascular Necrosis
(AVN) of the hip and knee including non-operative as well as operative methods. He believes surgery is the last resort and will work with his patients to come up with individualized plans of treatment.

Dr. Polishchuk is an attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Ellis Hospital. He is bilingual, with native speaker proficiency in Russian and English languages. He is passionate about restoring his patients’ quality of life by alleviating pain and restoring their function.
