About Dr. LaRosa
Dr. LaRosa is a board‑certified orthopedic surgeon with more than 30 years of experience caring for patients in the Capital Region. He specializes in general orthopedics and sports medicine, with a longstanding commitment to providing comprehensive, patient‑centered musculoskeletal care.
Dr. LaRosa joined OrthoNY as a partner in 2013 after many years serving the Saratoga community. Prior to this, he practiced as a partner at Orthopedic Associates of Saratoga from 2006 to 2013 and as the owner of Saratoga Sports Medicine and Orthopedics from 2001 to 2005. Since 2008, he has also been a member of BOSS Enterprises of Saratoga, LLC.
His dedication to clinical excellence has extended into leadership roles. From 2007 to 2009, Dr. LaRosa served as Chair of the Department of Surgery at Saratoga Hospital.
Dr. LaRosa completed his medical training at Albany Medical College, earning his medical degree in 1987. He went on to complete an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Albany Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident from 1991 to 1992. He holds dual undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry/Biophysics and Molecular Cell Biology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
He is board‑certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, a credential he obtained in 1994.
