As New York continues to reopen and elective surgeries resume, OrthoNY can offer patients a new option for total knee replacement, the first of its kind in the state. Zimmer Biomet’s ROSA® Knee System is now available at both OrthoNY Surgical Suites in Clifton Park and Albany’s new Everett Road Surgery Center.
On December 12th, 2018, from 6-7:30pm EST, Dr. Leonard E. Goldstock, MD of OrthoNY will be speaking at a free community presentation on the topic of joint pain of the shoulder and what treatment options are available for patients, including surgical and non-surgical options.
On November 14th, 2018, from 6-7:30 pm EST, Dr. Congiusta of OrthoNY will be presenting at a free seminar on the topic of hip & knee joint pain, what you can do to manage these pains, and the surgical and non-surgical treatment options available to patients.
The exact amount of time needed to recover after rotator cuff surgery and safely return to work depends on several factors. To be clear though, it is not a quick turnaround. What kind of work someone does greatly affects how much time will be needed for recovery and for their return to work.
On October 22nd, 2018, from 6-7:30 pm EST, St. Peter’s Hospital, OrthoNY, and Smith&Nephew will be presenting a free seminar on the topic of knee pain and how the NAVIO Surgical System has helped patients in need of partial and total knee replacements find relief. Dr. J David Abraham of OrthoNY will be speaking at this event.
The winners of the 2018 Northeastern Women’s Golf Association senior and super senior titles, Anne Van Buren and Linda Kolnick, will be sending their championship photo to their orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Lee Kaback, of OrthoNY, who repaired both their shoulders. “We highly recommend him.” Van Buren said. The two women were awarded their titles at Cobleskill Golf and Country Club, Thursday Sept. 13, 2018.
Van Buren’s championship in 2017 was the culmination of a comeback year for her after she missed most of 2016 recovering from rotator cuff surgery. Weckter said she broke her arm last year and had to miss the entire season 2017 season.
