Welcome Patients of Schenectady Regional Orthopedic Associates!

Effective July 1, 2014, the physicians and physician assistants of Schenectady Regional Orthopedic Associates are working with OrthoNY. The same locations and services will be available to you, along with the resources and services available for all OrthoNY patients.

(ALBANY, NY) – Schenectady Regional Orthopedic Associates (SROA) will join OrthoNY this July to expand whole orthopaedic care in the Capital Region. The affiliation will combine both physician teams’ resources and expertise to create the most effective total bone and joint care for patients.

With the addition of SROA’s physicians and four office locations, OrthoNY will include 39 physicians, 23 physician assistants and two nurse practitioners, strengthening their ability to provide quality orthopaedic surgery and pain management throughout the Capital/Saratoga Region. More than 250 clinical and administrative staff will support patient care in 12 offices from Delmar to the Adirondacks, and East Greenbush to Schenectady. These locations include the SROA Center for Sports Medicine, in both Schenectady and Clifton Park, adding physical therapy and sports training to the services currently offered by OrthoNY.

“Our team is very excited to work with the physicians and staff of Schenectady Regional Orthopaedic Associates, continuing their tradition of excellent orthopaedic care,” said Alan Okun, CEO of OrthoNY.

“We are committed to SROA’s patients and referring physicians and look forward to enhancing services for them in Schenectady, Clifton Park and Guilderland, as we have at our other locations in Delmar, Albany, East Greenbush, Latham, Malta, Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls. Providing as much care as possible where patients work and play is how we are Saving Lifestyles.”

Sandra McMahon, SROA practice administrator, added, “Our decision to affiliate with OrthoNY will significantly benefit our patients. The number of skilled physicians, many trained in orthopaedic surgery subspecialties, working in collaboration with a comprehensive support team, will present a level of orthopaedic care unparalleled in New York State.”

OrthoNY was formed by the merger of Northeast Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Associates of Saratoga in January 2013. To learn more, visit www.orthony.com.
