OrthoNY Surgical Suites has been accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)
About The AAAHC Accreditation
Accreditation distinguishes the outpatient facility from others through its adherence to rigorous standards of care and safety.
Ambulatory health care organizations seeking AAAHC Accreditation undergo an extensive self-assessment and onsite review by AAAHC expert surveyors – physicians, nurses, and administrators actively involved in ambulatory care.
The survey is peer-based and educational, presenting best practices to help an organization improve its care and services.
We Are Thrilled
“We are thrilled to have our new facility accredited by AAAHC,” stated Dr. George Silver, president of OrthoNY. “OrthoNY Surgical Suites specializes in meeting the needs of our patients whose treatment does not require hospital admission. With this AAAHC recognition, they can be assured the care they receive is still the optimal quality they would experience if the same surgeries were performed in a hospital.”
“While the onsite survey is significant to the accreditation process, ongoing compliance and continuous improvement are also important,” added CEO Julie Shaw. “We are fortunate to have an exceptional team of nurses, surgical and sterile processing technicians, and administrators working side-by-side with our providers. Every one of them is dedicated to providing the highest quality care, ensuring we maintain our accreditation during the critical three-year period between AAAHC visits.”
