A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Speert is skilled in pain management and has specialized training in interventional spine and sports medicine. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Before Joining OrthoNY, Dr. Speert engaged in a one-year internship at Rowan University. He then spent three years in residence at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School/ Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. Most recently, he completed a fellowship at Orthopaedic and Spine Specialists in York, New Jersey.
During his time at Orthopaedic and Spine Specialists, Dr. Speert was fellowship trained in cervical, thoracic, lumber, and sacral epidurals and neurotomies; sacroiliac joint injections; discograms; kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty; sympathetic ganglion blocks; spinal cord stimulator trials; percutaneous implantations; intercostal nerve blocks; ultra-sound guided peripheral injections; percutaneous tenotomies; and use of platelet rich plasma.
Dr. Speert has special interests and skills in in interventional spine and sports medicine. He is seeing patients in Saratoga Springs, Malta and Clifton Park.
