In 2012 I had a complete knee replacement, left side. 3 years later a part wore out and it was repaired. 10 years after that repair, a piece malfunctioned and I had to have repair surgery, again! This time Dr. Katz did the repair (he did not do the prior two surgeries). I’m now 6 weeks post op and all has gone very well. Dr. Katz replaced the broken piece and tweaked some other parts. The incision was very neatly done and healed up nicely with only a very thin scar. There has been minimal pain during recovery. I am walking better now than I actually have in years. I found Dr. Katz to be professional, attentive, knowledgeable (the problem with my knee wasn’t diagnosable with X-Ray but Doc diagnosed the problem correctly despite that), caring, – and funny! If I ever need any more orthopedic surgeries that Dr. Katz performs, he is the doctor I’ll be seeing! I highly recommend him – and actually ALL the ORTHONY staff have been great each time I’ve been to both the Albany and Clifton Park offices.

Dr Katz preformed my hip replacement surgery back 2019 and the experience was very positive. He answered all questions that I had and put my mind at ease. Recently I saw him again for pain that I am experiencing and rather than just dismiss it when the x-ray showed nothing wrong he has ordered a mri as well as bloodwork to be certain nothing serious is going on with the hip replacement. Highly recommend Dr Katz

Excellent staff. After X-rays and options discussed with the Doctor I felt confident to decide to go ahead with surgery because my condition had worsened and was only going to get worse. Pre surgery and post surgery I was given all the information, all questions answered so I felt in good hands. Everything went perfectly. I was walking pain free and back to perfect knees in a few weeks! Followed the Doctor and team’s instructions. Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Katz and Ortho. So thankful.

So far since the surgery I have not experienced any of the pain that I previously had prior to surgery. I do have some swelling. I think by elevating and frequent icing, the swelling will go down. Thank you and your staff for kindness and compassion. Thank you Dr Katz for continuing to work with me to get rid of the every day pain I had for so long. Very much appreciated. Susan Varano
