Dr. Congiusta is a board-certified total joint surgeon whose interests include minimally invasive techniques, partial knee replacement, aggressive post-operative physical rehabilitation and complex reconstructive procedures. Dr. Congiusta is the Chief of Orthopaedics at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, New York.
Dr. Congiusta's present areas of interest include unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (or partial knee replacement), alternative bearing surfaces in total hip replacement (which will hopefully increase how long the replacement lasts, particularly in younger patients), minimally invasive techniques, aggressive post-operative physical rehabilitation to return total joint patients to activities as quickly as possible and complex reconstructive procedures (including redo?s or revision procedures).
