Important Notice: New Electronic Health Record System

Beginning in October, OrthoNY will be implementing a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system throughout our organization.

While the goal of this new EHR is to improve efficiencies and clinical care, we would like to advise you that you may experience delays when here for your appointment due to our providers and staff acclimating to the new system processes.

We will be sending out further communication regarding our new Patient Portal that will be available for patient access upon completion of our implementation.  For now, you can visit our website for continued implementation updates.

As always, we strive to ensure that you have a positive experience with us at OrthoNY and we appreciate your patience with us during this transition.

Update as of December 5th, 2019

OrthoNY has now begun implementation of our new Electronic Health Record in our Albany region offices which include: Albany, Clifton Park, Delmar, and East Greenbush. As our providers and staff get used to this new system, we ask for your continued patience, especially within our Urgent Care clinic, which may experience longer than normal delays/

Due to the anticipated delays, the last Urgent Care patient in Albany will be checked-in at 6:45 PM.

Due to the anticipated delays, the last Urgent Care patient will be checked-in at 3:45 p.m.

Update as of October 15, 2019

OrthoNY has completed the implementation of our new Electronic Health Record in our Saratoga Region.  If you have been seen or are planning to be seen in our Saratoga or Malta offices, you are eligible to register for the new portal.  Please call our office at 518-682-2103 or email rcolaes@orthony.com to request access to the new portal.

Upon receipt of your request, our staff will activate the portal and you will receive an email invitation to create an account.   There, you can update your demographic information, add your medications, allergies, and past medical and family history, in advance of your appointment so your wait time may be shorter.  In addition, you will be able to view your office visit notes once they are completed.

If you cannot complete the account set-up through the portal, we will be asking you to enter this information through our kiosk iPads in our waiting room prior to being seen.    You should plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.

Beginning in November, this portal will be available to patients in the Schenectady Region and in December for patients in the Albany Region, which includes our Everett Road office, along with our Latham, Delmar, East Greenbush and Clifton Park offices.  If you are coming in for an appointment, please watch for an email inviting you to the portal.

As this new electronic health record is implemented, please stay tuned for other options that will become available online.  We look forward to improving the patient experience through these new services and appreciate your continued patience during this transition.
