Originally from Ballston Lake, NY, Ryan completed an accelerated 3+3 academic program through The Sage Colleges, earning his B.S. in Applied Biology in 2013 and Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016. In 2017, Ryan completed a 12-month accredited clinical residency program in orthopedic physical therapy through Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC. Throughout this program, Ryan participated in advanced level didactic instruction, clinical mentorship, and clinical research to accelerate his knowledge and clinical skills in orthopedic physical therapy. In July 2018, the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) awarded Ryan the designation of Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in orthopedic physical therapy (OCS), after successfully passing the specialist certification examination earlier that year.
Ryan is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is Functional Movement Screen (FMS) Level 1-2, and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) Level 1 Certified.
Ryan is an adjunct faculty member for the Sage Doctor of Physical Therapy program in Troy, NY and is passionate about mentoring physical therapy students throughout the clinical education process. Clinically, Ryan takes particular interest in treating foot/ankle pain and dysfunction, as well as promoting performance optimization of all athletes.
